A Roseburg man was jailed after allegedly hitting a court security deputy at the courthouse on Friday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 7:50 a.m. court security radioed for backup on the 3rd floor of the courthouse.  When deputies arrived, the 57-year-old man had already been detained. The court security deputy said when he was escorting the man out the suspect turned and hit the deputy’s arm. Deputies escorted the man to the jail and charged with him harassment. He was detained without bail.
