A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect from 10:00 p.m. Monday through 9:00 a.m. Wednesday for much of southern Oregon.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said very cold temperatures ranging from 15 to 25 degrees are expected.
The Advisory area includes central Douglas County and its eastern foothills, Josephine and Jackson County, eastern Curry County, the south central and southern Oregon Cascades, Klamath Basin and surrounding areas. It applies to the communities of Roseburg, Grants Pass, Medford, Cave Junction, Crater Lake, Diamond Lake and nearby locations.
Forecasters said very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure. Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
