Roseburg had a below normal amount of rainfall for the month of January.

Data from the National Weather Service said the Roseburg Regional Airport measured 2.52 inches of precipitation. That compares with the normal monthly amount which is 4.82 inches. Just over a quarter of January’s rain in Roseburg fell on Friday, when 0.74 inches of precipitation was recorded.

While January’s rainfall was just over half the normal amount, for the weather year Roseburg is still in good shape. National Weather Service data said since October 1st, when the weather year began, Roseburg’s airport has gotten 20.84 inches of precipitation. The normal amount of precipitation between October 1st and the end of January is 17.91 inches. That means Roseburg is nearly 3 inches above the normal amount of rain for the current weather year.
