The Douglas County Fair gets underway for 2024 Wednesday.
It is senior day so those over age 65 get in for free, with identification. Teens get $2 off the admission price when they bring canned food. The fair is free for everyone prior to 3:00 p.m. thanks to CHI Mercy Medical Center. Kids aged 12 and under get free admission all day/every day. Sponsored by the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians.
Great White and Slaughter play at the Cascade Community Credit Union Amphitheater at 7:00 p.m. The News Review Garden Park Stage has the senior talent show at 10:00 a.m. and live music the rest of the day.
4-H and FFA activities take place throughout the day. Commercial buildings open at 11:00 a.m. Carnival Rides begin at 12:00 p.m.
Free buses to the fairgrounds operate from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Buses are available at Roseburg High School and the First Student lot in the Green District. Fairgrounds parking is $10 per vehicle.
The fairgrounds close at 11:00 p.m.
