Roseburg is expecting a near record high temperature for the date Thursday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the mercury is slated to reach 101 degrees. The record for August 1st is 102 degrees, set in 2017.

Highs should drop back down to the 90s on Friday and stay there for the next week.

The Roseburg Regional Airport saw a high temperature of 96 degrees on Wednesday.
