ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL WOMAN FOR ASSAULT AND MENACING

Roseburg Police jailed a woman for fourth-degree assault and menacing late Saturday night.

An RPD report said just after 11:30 p.m. officers responded to a report of a disturbance between two people in the 1000 block of Northeast Barager Street. The suspect had left the location before the officers arrived. After an investigation, it was determined that the 19-year-old suspect had struck the victim multiple times with a metal kitchen utensil on her left arm and threatened to kill her.

The suspect was located a short distance away and taken into custody without incident. Bail was set at $12,500.
