TWO JAILED FOLLOWING DISTURBANCE THURSDAY

Two people were jailed following a disturbance on Thursday.

A Roseburg Police Department report said at 5:30 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance in the 1100 block of Southeast Stephens Street. A 40-year-old was found inside and detained. A 77-year-old reported that the other man hit him with something in the arm, causing a small cut. That man is on parole and is prohibited from contacting the older man. There was a valid restraining order which prohibited the older man from contacting the younger man.

The 40-year-old was charged with a parole violation and harassment. He was detained without bail. The 77-year-old was charged with a restraining order violation. Bail was set at $5,000.
