TRANSITION OF CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK OPERATIONS FINALIZED

ExplorUS, a national provider of concession services in national and state parks, is now operating the concession services previously operated by Crater Lake Hospitality, at Crater Lake National Park.

An ExplorUS release, said the transition, which was announced March 1st, was completed in a little over a month.

ExplorUS CEO Frank Pikus said, “We appreciate the speed the National Park Service has provided in working with us to make this happen in a timely manner so that we can open on time for visitors”. Pikus said, “From clearing roads to implementing improvements, we have a full team on the ground preparing to welcome guests”.

ExplorUS will be operating Crater Lake concessions, including boat tours, lodging and dining at historic Crater Lake Lodge, Rim Café and Gifts, which is open year-round, the cabins at Mazama Village and Mazama Campground, Annie Creek Restaurant and Gift Shop, and the Mazama Village Store.

The release said the Crater Lake Lodge opening is scheduled for May 17th with other openings to follow. The boat tours to Wizard Island start on a first come, first served basis July 1st, depending on weather, with reservations opening July 17th.
