Roseburg Police jailed a man for a probation violation on Thursday.

An RPD report said just after 8:00 a.m. officers contacted the 24-year old at Eagle’s Park in the 700 block of Southeast Jackson Street, after he was seen with an open beer can. Officers learned the man was on parole and had a no alcohol stipulation. His parole officer requested that he be detained for a parole violation. He was also cited for drinking in public and issued his first city exclusion warning.

The man was detained without bail.
