An Azalea man was jailed Tuesday following alleged menacing incidents.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said on March 14th at approximately 2:00 a.m. 54-year-old Charles Beasley came to a victim’s residence in the 3000 block of Upper Cow Creek Road unannounced and uninvited to confront her about a noise complaint. The victim walked out towards Beasley trying to figure out why he was on her property. The man allegedly pulled out a Smith & Wesson .45 caliber and pointed it directly at her head, placing her in fear for her life.
Tuesday night at 7:10 p.m. Beasley reportedly returned to the property with a rifle to confront the victim once again. He allegedly fired one round from his rifle into the air over the victim’s house before returning to his property. Deputies contacted Beasley at his residence where he was taken into custody without incident.
He was charged with menacing, unlawful use of a weapon, pointing a firearm at another person and second-degree criminal trespass. Beasley was detained without bail.
