Its been nearly a month since the West Harvard Avenue KFC/John Long Silvers location closed in Roseburg, but little information about what led to that closure has been made available.

On Wednesday both companies released brief statements to News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN.

KFC spokesperson Lori Eberenz said, “One of our franchisees closed this restaurant as a normal course of business. While this is always a difficult decision, we appreciate the patronage of our local guests”. Eberenz said, “We look forward to continuing serving our customers at the other KFC’s located in the area”. The KFC on Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard remains open.

A Long John Silver’s representative who did not want to be named said, “Closing a restaurant is never an easy decision for our company and we are thankful for the guests and crew members who sailed with us over the years”.

The combined location was shuttered on December 8th.
