HYDRANT FLUSHING CONTINUES IN ROSEBURG THROUGH JUNE 30TH

May 6, 2025 11:00 a.m.

The Roseburg Fire Department is continuing to flush fire hydrants inside the city limits through June 30th.

Hydrant flushing is being conducted seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

An RFD release said the department realizes that hydrant flushing may cause some inconvenience, however the flushing program is necessary to ensure the proper functioning and delivery of adequate water from the water mains when necessary for fire control.

During the flushing process, customers may experience low water pressure or discolored water. While the water is safe to drink, customers may prefer to wait until it runs clear before drinking or washing clothes and dishes.
