Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged disorderly conduct incident Tuesday morning.

Information from RPD said at 9:30 a.m. multiple people reported that the 34-year old was being “violent and tumultuous” at Stewart Park in the 2000 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. When he was contacted, the suspect reportedly threw a bag of items into the bushes next to the South Umpqua River and then ran from officers.

He was eventually caught and taken into custody. The man was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $2,500.
