Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation on Monday afternoon.

An RPD report said just after 5:20 p.m. officers contacted the 49-year-old at a business in the 2200 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway after the staff said that he was being belligerent. The man was allegedly in possession of alcohol, which if against the conditions of his parole. His parole officer requested that the man be detained for violating his parole. He was taken into custody, transported to corrections and held without bail.
