TYEE RIDGE COMPLEX OVER 1,500 ACRES AS OF SATURDAY NIGHT

The Tyee Ridge Complex of fires burning northwest of Roseburg is estimated to be over 1,500 acres as of Saturday night.

An update from the Oregon Department of Forestry Incident Management Team 1 and the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Red Team said firefighters and equipment arrived throughout Saturday from all around Oregon. The Tyee Ridge Complex is made up of nineteen fires. Overnight the teams planned to work the main fires of Rattlesnake Ridge, Lighthouse 3 and 4 and Cougar Creek 1. Douglas Forest Protective Association and Douglas County Fire District No.2 personnel with ODF resources have been fighting the fires since they started on Thursday.

The Tyee Ridge Complex management teams will have a community meeting Monday night at 7:00 p.m. at Roseburg Country Club on Garden Valley Road.
