Roseburg Police jailed a man on drug charges, after a stolen vehicle was recovered on Friday.

An RPD report said at 12:50 p.m. officers contacted a 54-year-old Cottage Grove man regarding a stolen 1978 Chevrolet Corvette, which was located at a business in the 400 block of Southeast Stephens Street. The man explained that he had traded a separate vehicle for the Corvette and had no prior knowledge that the vehicle was stolen. The owner of the vehicle was contacted.

During the inventory of the vehicle, officers located a toolbox, reportedly containing 29.59 grams of methamphetamine. The driver admitted that the meth belonged to him. He was taken into custody for unlawful possession and delivery of meth. He was detained without bail and was released on Sunday.
