OSU EXTENSION WORKSHOP ON TOMATO PRESERVATION

The Oregon State University Extension Service and Master Food Preservers are offering a workshop covering tomato preservation on September 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Glide Rural Fire Protection District Office.

Instructors will share recipe ideas and provide information on techniques needed to fill the pantry with sauces, salsas and more. Participants will receive hands-on training in water bath and steam canning, sample dehydrator recipes, and learn tips to avoid getting burned while freezing.
