NEW LEVEL 2 EVACUATION NOTICE ISSUED FOR TYEE RIDGE COMPLEX FIRES

August 26, 2023 6:00 p.m. 

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has issued a new LEVEL 2 BE SET wildfire alert.

It applies to all residences on Lighthouse Road in Tyee.

Level 2 BE SET to evacuate means:

There is significant danger in that area. Be ready to leave at a moment’s notice.

Hubbard Creek Road has been closed at Millwood Lane. Community members are encouraged to avoid any unnecessary travel through the area.

Earlier evacuation notices issued Friday night also remain in place.

Resources for Tyee Ridge Complex Evacuees:

*Red Cross Shelter is at Oakland Elementary School on Northeast Spruce Street.

*Livestock and large animals can be sheltered at the Douglas County Fairgrounds Complex and at the Sutherlin rodeo grounds. Companion animals may be sheltered at Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center. Coordinate with Douglas County Animal Control by calling 541-662-9322.
