RPD makes three DUII stops over the weekend

Roseburg Police officers issued DUII citations on three occasions over the weekend.

On Friday at 8:30 p.m., a 35-year-old Winston woman was stopped by police on Garden Valley for several traffic violations. RPD reports the woman showed signs of impairment and submitted to a field sobriety test, which led to her arrest.

The woman had her two children in the car. She was cited for DUII and two counts of reckless endangering.

A 33-year-old Roseburg man was pulled over by Roseburg Police early Saturday morning on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. He was originally stopped for expired registration stickers, but the officer said he noticed multiple bottles of alcohol in the vehicle and smelled an odor of alcohol coming from the man.

The suspect consented to a field sobriety test and performed poorly, according to police. He was cited and released for DUII and driving while suspended.

Finally, a 21-year-old Eugene resident was stopped at Gaddis Park early Sunday morning. The RPD officer said the suspect was visibly impaired and performed poorly to a field sobriety test.

The man was taken to Douglas County Corrections where he reportedly provided a breath sample. He was cited and released for DUII, driving while suspended and driving uninsured.
