WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY THROUGH 4:00 P.M. SUNDAY ABOVE 1,000 FEET

March 5, 2023 6:15 a.m.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through 4:00 p.m. Sunday above 1,000 feet for central Douglas County and its eastern foothills.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said an additional 4 inches of snow is expected above 1,000 feet.

This includes Camas Valley, Tiller, Azalea and portions of Interstate 5 and Highway 42.

Forecasters said travel could be very difficult to impossible. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.

Drivers should slow down and allow extra time to reach their destination. Carry tire chains and be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities.
