A Grants Pass man escaped from deputies after being arrested following a traffic stop on Wednesday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 6:00 p.m. a deputy stopped a pickup near the intersection of Thompson Avenue and Southeast Center Street in Winston, for multiple violations. Dispatchers said the driver had a felony parole warrant. The deputy advised the 41-year old that he was under arrest

When the deputy went to place the suspect in handcuffs, he took off running. A perimeter was set up and a deputy and K9 Zorro conducted a track.

The suspect was not located.
