ZONTA AND UMPQUA COMMUNITY COLLEGE HELP SUNRISE ENTERPRISES

February 21, 2023 3:15 a.m.

The Zonta Club of Roseburg is teaming up with Umpqua Community College to help Sunrise Enterprises.

Those who attend the UCC women’s basketball game against Chemeketa Wednesday night and bring a clothing donation will get free popcorn. As part of its Double Donation Drive, Zonta gives the clothing to Sunrise, who benefits by having more clothing for their retail store and achieving the goal of providing inclusion and jobs to those with disabilities. Sunrise then makes a nominal donation to Zonta, who works to empower women.

Clothing should be clean and lightly used. No shoes, purses or household goods can be accepted. Admission to the game is $5 for adults and $3 for those ages 12 and under.

Clothing can also be dropped off at Cardinal Services on Northwest Stewart Parkway and at the Roseburg Public Library on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard.

Locally, Zonta works to stop human trafficking and provide a hand up for woman navigating difficult steps in their lives. For additional information, go to: www.zontaroseburg.org or follow their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/zontaroseburg
