After months of planning and construction, Wednesday is the opening day for Topp-It, just off of West Harvard Avenue, across from Roseburg High School.

Co-owner Rick Donnelly described the drive-through and walk-up outlet as a “healthy and quick” option for those wanting good quality food. Donnelly is one of three owners of the business. It is also owned by brothers Brett and Bryon Smith, who own Ten Down Bowling and Entertainment, as well.

Donnelly said to help assure quality the menu has been kept simple. 6 types of salads, 6 options for pizza and 6 wraps are offered along with 3 breakfast items. Donnelly described the pizza as more of an artisan style, with dough that is hand tossed and 100 percent real cheese which does not contain fillers.

Meals can be ordered online at: https://toppitexpress.com. Donnelly said they can even be scheduled in advance for pickup at a later time. For those using the walk-up option, Donnelly said meals can be assembled quickly. He said their pizza can be ready in 6 minutes, from the time of order.

With the location close to the school and three motels, Donnelly hopes to get plenty of walk-up business, along with those who order online.

Donnelly said the owners will consider additional locations around the Umpqua Valley or even elsewhere in the region, depending on how the venture takes off.

Topp-It will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. six days a week. It will be closed on Sundays. Brett Smith said 15 staff have been hired.
