A transient was jailed by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office after an alleged assault Monday evening.

A DCSO report said the 26-year old had allegedly been trying to fight everyone in the residence in the 600 block of Canyonville-Riddle Road in south county throughout the day. The victim wanted to separate from the suspect by going to his bedroom, but when doing so the suspect allegedly shoved him to the ground. The suspect repeatedly stated that the victim was going to get a firearm, although the suspect was the victim’s “commanding officer”.

The suspect was charged with 4th degree assault. He was jailed without bail.
