Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged store theft on Saturday morning.

An RPD report said at approximately 6:20 a.m. officers found the 30-year old a few blocks away from the scene of an alleged shoplift in the 1900 block of Southeast Stephens Street. He was still eating the food he had stolen, when he was contacted, according to the report.

The man was charged with third-degree theft and for a parole violation. He was detained without bail.
