SPRING INTO GARDENING HAPPENING MARCH 11TH

Registration is open for the Spring into Gardening educational course at Phoenix School of Roseburg.

Organized by the OSU Extension Service Douglas County Master Gardeners, the event provides home gardeners with information on sustainable gardening topics. The first session is on small farms and agriculture in Douglas County. OSU Extension Small Farms Program Coordinator Logan Bennett will be the presenter. Topics for additional workshops include:

*Veggies 101

*All about Irises

*Backyard Permaculture

*Food Gardening on a Budget

Many other topics will be covered as well. The course runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a break for lunch between 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Those attending should bring their own meal. Coffee, water and hot water for tea will be provided.
