A Sutherlin man was jailed following alleged trespass and escape incidents on Sunday.

A Sutherlin Police report said just after 9:00 a.m. 62-year old David Torres was allegedly seen trespassing at locations in the 100 block of South Comstock Road and in the 1200 block of West Central Avenue. The report said the suspect had recently been arrested for trespassing at the first location and had repeatedly been advised of trespass at both locations.

When contacted and told he was under arrest, Torres reportedly fled on foot until a second officer arrived in the area and took him into custody. The report said he was told he was under arrest more than 10 times as he attempted to escape on foot.

Torres was charged with 2 counts of second-degree criminal trespass and for third degree escape. He was detained without bail.
