COUNTY COVID-19 CASES DROP BY NEARLY 15 PERCENT

COVID-19 cases in Douglas County have dropped by nearly 15 percent, in the past week.

Information from the Douglas Public Health Network said 37 cases of the virus were reported in the week ending Wednesday. That compares to 43 cases in the prior week. DPHN Public Information Officer Vanessa Becker said the county is seeing a continual decline in cases and hospitalizations. Becker said hospitalizations have ranged between 1 and 2 per day. 1 day in the past week the county had no residents hospitalized related to the virus at any hospital – the first time that had happened in over 2 years.
