Umpqua Growth Talks presents Pitch Night for Startups Wednesday night from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Backside Brewing Company on Northeast Odell Avenue in Roseburg.

It was created by the Umpqua Economic Development Partnership to give people with an idea for a business startup, the opportunity to compete for real money. Six applicants will be selected to pitch in front of a panel of judges.

*1st place pitch wins $1,000

*2nd place pitch wins $500

*3rd place pitch wins $250

*Audience favorite wins $250

Startups are defined as a business that has made less than $5,000 in revenue.
