In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

The Umpqua Valley Youth Orchestra will have its winter concert Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m.

The free event will take place in Jacoby Auditorium at Umpqua Community College UVYO is made up of violin, viola, cello and bass players, ages 6 and older. Musical selections will include Water Music by Handel, Sonatine by Mozart, and The New World Symphony and Brandenburg Concerto No.6 by Bach.

Organizers say the evening will be a great opportunity to introduce younger children to classical music.
