ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOLLOWING ALLEGED CRIMINAL MISCHIEF INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged criminal mischief incident on Saturday.

An RPD report said 1:30 p.m. the 30-year old allegedly struck a cellular tower with a baseball bat because he was trying to gain access to the interior of the structure, in the 400 block of Northeast Stephens Street. The suspect ran from officers, but was caught after he fell from a fence.

He was charged with attempted second-degree criminal mischief. Bail was set at $2,500.
