The Roseburg City Council is having its first meeting of 2023 Monday night.

Mayor Larry Rich will give the State of the City address. It is expected to last for around 20 minutes.

Commission chair appointments and commission appointments will be announced. Council members will elect a council president. 3 of the 8 councilors are new. Ellen Porter and Ruth Smith were recently elected while David Mohr was appointed at the last meeting to complete the term of Sheri Moothart, who resigned.

It will be a light agenda with only one comprehensive plan amendment and zone change to consider.

The meeting will begin at 7:00 in the City Council Chambers. It can be viewed on the city’s Facebook page or seen later at www.cityofroseburg.org.
