In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

The work of artist and University of Oklahoma associate professor Jason Cytacki will be 0n display beginning on Monday at Umpqua Community College’s Art Gallery.

Cytacki describes the paintings in his “Only the Lonely” collection as presenting, “serene nocturnes of everyday Midwestern scenes”. He said in the scenes, dramatic lighting creates a cinematic atmosphere, and “…the specifically mundane imagery helps create a common experience that evokes a sense of ambiguous, yet relatable familiarity”.

The “Only the Lonely” series will be on display at the UCC Art Gallery from Monday through February 9th. Gallery hours are weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is free.
