A man was jailed by Roseburg Police Wednesday, for an alleged past theft case.

An RPD report said just after 10:30 a.m. the 31-year old from Roseburg, was contacted for a welfare check in the 1300 block of Southeast Stephens Street. Officers recognized him as the suspect in a theft from a business

The suspect was charged with first-degree theft. He was detained without bail.
