A Wind Advisory is now in effect through 4:00 p.m. Thursday.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said southeast winds of 25 to 35 miles per hour are expected with gusts up to 55 miles per hour likely.
The Advisory area includes central Douglas County and its eastern foothills, Josephine County and eastern Curry County. This includes highways 199, 42, 138, 38, 62, Interstate 5 and the communities of Roseburg, Sutherlin, Elkton, Steamboat, Grants Pass and Cave Junction.
Forecasters said gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down with power outages expected. Drivers should use extra caution, especially if operating high profile vehicles.
