Roseburg Police jailed a man after an alleged reckless burning incident on Tuesday.

An RPD report said just after 10:00 a.m. officers responded to the 1000 block of Southeast Stephens Street after a caller said that a fire had started under the awning of a building. A 35-year old suspect was identified on the scene. The man was charged with reckless burning and for offensive littering.

He was jailed on $7,500 bail.
