WIND ADVISORY BEGINS WEDNESDAY MORNING

A Wind Advisory begins Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. for a wide area of southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said southeast winds of 25 to 35 mile per hour with gusts to 55 miles per hour are possible. Higher winds are expected at higher elevations.

The Advisory area includes central Douglas County and its eastern foothills, Josephine County and eastern Curry County. It applies to Roseburg, Sutherlin, Umpqua, Toketee Falls, Merlin and Wilderville.

Forecasters said gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down with power outages expected. Drivers should use extra caution, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle.

The Advisory continues until Thursday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
