Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported burglary early Monday.

An RPD report said at 3:00 a.m. officers responded to a vacant residence in the 800 block of Northeast Willow Street, after neighbors said they heard glass being broken. Officers found a window broken out and were able to gain access to the residence. A 41-year old was allegedly found inside and admitted to breaking the window and entering the house to steal water.

The suspect was charged with second-degree counts of burglary and criminal mischief. He was detained without bail.
