#OptOutside the two days after Thanksgiving for free fishing in Oregon.

A release from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife said everyone can fish, clam and crab without cost on Friday and Saturday, November 25th and 26th.

No fishing/shellfish licenses or tags are required for those days. Both residents and nonresidents can fish for free.

All other fishing regulations including closures, bag limits and size restrictions still apply.

Currently, crabbing is open in bays, beaches, estuaries, tide pools, piers and jetties along the entire Oregon coast. Crabbing is closed in the ocean due to the annual closure from October 16th through November 30th each year.
