Roseburg Public Library will have a Facebook Live streaming event with writer Glen Erik Hamilton, on Thursday October 6th at 6:30 p.m.

A release said Hamilton is the author of the Van Shaw series of crime thrillers set in the Pacific Northwest. It focuses on an elite military veteran who returns to Seattle when his estranged grandfather calls him home. His novels have won Anthony, Macavity and Strand Critics awards and have been nominated for other honors.

During his presentation, Hamilton will look at the fourth book of the Van Shaw series, “Mercy River”, which is set in rural Oregon and follow’s Shaw’s quest to assist a fellow soldier from was arrested for murder during a veteran’s reunion. He will also discuss his journey as an author, provide insight into his writing process and share tips on getting published.

A moderated question and answer session will follow the presentation. Questions may be submitted before the event to Library staff at: library@cityofroseburg.org. Viewers who have a Facebook account can post questions during the event by commenting on the live stream.
