MOTORCYCLIST HOSPITALIZED FOLLOWING SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH

A motorcyclist was hospitalized following a single vehicle accident Wednesday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 9:30 p.m. deputies responded to a motorcycle accident in the 7500 block of Tiller Trail Highway in Days Creek. A deputy contacted the 46-year old rider who was laying in the roadway with visible road rash on his right side. The man complained of a possible broken right leg.

The motorcyclist said he was riding towards Canyonville when a deer ran onto the road and hit him, causing the wreck. The man was wearing a helmet and there were no signs of impairment. He was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center according to DCSO.
