A Coos Bay man was hospitalized following a single vehicle wreck early Wednesday.

An Oregon State Police report said just after 4:00 a.m. troopers were dispatched to the crash on Highway 138E in the Toketee area. A sedan was traveling east when the driver fell asleep. The vehicle came to an uncontrolled rest on the westbound shoulder.

The man was transported to PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield.
