DINT MAKES DRUG ARREST NEAR SCHOOL

On Monday, detectives with the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team made a drug arrest, one block from a local elementary school.

A DINT release said that 22-year old Eumetrious Zepeda had been identified as a person of interest in an ongoing drug investigation. Detectives and deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office contacted the suspect in his vehicle in the 4600 block of Carnes Road. That is right by Green Elementary. Drug detection K-9 Trapper checked the exterior of the vehicle that Zepeda was driving and alerted to the presence of a controlled substance inside.

Lieutenant Rick McArthur said a search of the vehicle allegedly revealed approximately a quarter pound of suspected methamphetamine, as well as two concealed firearms.

Zepeda was charged with unlawful possession and delivery of meth, unlawful delivery of meth within 1,000 feet of a school and for two counts of unlawful possession of firearms. After arraignment, Zepeda was held on $700,000 bail.
