WOMAN JAILED FOR ANIMAL NEGLECT

A Myrtle Creek woman was jailed, charged with first degree animal neglect on Saturday.

A report from Myrtle Creek Police said at about 10:00 p.m. a caller said the suspect had been leaving her dog inside a residence in the 300 block of Northeast Johnson, sometimes for a week with no food or water.

Following an investigation, the woman was arrested and detained. She was released from custody on Sunday.
