WOMAN JAILED IN ALLEGED STOLEN VEHICLE INCIDENT

A 29-year old woman was jailed by Sutherlin Police in an alleged stolen vehicle incident, on Wednesday.

An SPD report said just after 8:00 a.m. an officer was dispatched to a medical aid call in the 1300 block of East First Avenue involving a woman appearing to have a nervous breakdown. When the officer arrived, the woman was gone and a call came through for a stolen vehicle in Oakland. The report said the 29-year old was dropped off near the location where the vehicle was stolen. The woman was ultimately located at the Oregon State Police Office with the stolen vehicle.

The woman admitted to taking the vehicle and was placed in custody. Charges included unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and for possession of a stolen vehicle.
