A Douglas County man was jailed in Coos County on Thursday.

A Coos County Sheriff’s Office report said at about 10:50 p.m. deputies were sent to a disturbance at Horsfall Beach Campground in North Bend. A caller said a female was bleeding and had asked for help.

When he arrived, the deputy talked with witnesses and the involved parties. The deputy determined that a 33-year old man had grabbed a woman and shoved her to the floor of their camp trailer, before jumping on her and punching her on the nose, which caused her to bleed.

The man was charged with 4th degree assault-domestic and for violating a domestic assault abuse no contact order out of Douglas County for a prior assault.
