RIDDLE MAN DIES IN MOTORCYCLE VERSUS VEHICLE CRASH

A Riddle man died in a motorcycle versus vehicle crash on Monday.

Sergeant Brad O’Dell of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 8:15 p.m. reports came in regarding a two-vehicle crash in the 3700 block of Canyonville-Riddle Road near Riddle.

O’Dell said deputies arrived on the scene to discover a motorcycle which had struck a Jeep. The motorcycle had been traveling east on Canyonville-Riddle Road when it collided with the other vehicle. The operator of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

O’Dell said EMS and fire crews attempted lifesaving efforts, which were unsuccessful. The motorcycle operator, 25-year old Terance Cowan was pronounced deceased. The driver of the other vehicle is fully cooperating with law enforcement.

O’Dell said the investigation is ongoing, though speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
