It was the hottest day in the history of Roseburg, on Sunday.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the mercury got to 113 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The previous record all-time high for Roseburg was 109 degrees, set on July 20th, 1946 and repeated on August 15th, 2020.
Eugene and Portland also had all-time record highs. Eugene got to 111 degrees. The previous all-time record high for Eugene was 108 degrees, set on August 9th, 1981. Portland reached 112 degrees. The previous all-time record high was 108 degrees, set on Saturday. Prior to Saturday, the all-time record high was 107 degrees, set in July of 1965, and repeated twice in August of 1981.
Medford had a high of 113 degrees. That broke the June record for the hottest temperature. The previous June record was 111 degrees, set June 22nd, 1982.
