HIGHEST NUMBER OF DAILY COVID-19 CASES IN OREGON, SINCE MID JANUARY

COVID-19 has claimed 1 more life, raising the state’s death toll to 2,467, as of Thursday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 993 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state total to 178,110.

That is the highest number of daily cases since January 16th, when 1,173 cases were reported in Oregon. The new cases include:

*206 in Multnomah County

*128 in Washington County

*116 in Clackamas County

*109 in Marion County

*57 in Deschutes County

*54 each in Klamath and Lane counties

*46 in Jackson County

*34 in Linn County

*24 in Benton County

*20 each in Polk and Yamhill counties

*17 in Josephine County

*16 in Wasco County

*14 each in Baker and Columbia counties

*12 in Crook County

*8 in Umatilla County

*7 in Lincoln County

*6 each in Coos and Jefferson counties

*5 each in Douglas and Hood River counties

*4 in Clatsop County

*2 each in Curry, Lake, Malheur and Union counties

*1 each in Grant, Morrow and Tillamook counties

The new death is a 67-year old from Linn County.

OHA said the number of hospitalized with COVID-19 across Oregon is 283, which is 11 more than on Wednesday. There are 69 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 4 more than on Wednesday.

OHA reported that 48,387 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 28,535 doses were administered on Wednesday. 19,852 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Wednesday.
