COVID-19 has claimed 6 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,466, as of Wednesday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 989 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 177,134. The new cases include:
*167 in Multnomah County
*134 in Washington County
*114 in Marion County
*99 in Deschutes County
*93 in Jackson County
*82 in Lane County
*61 in Clackamas County
*34 in Klamath County
*33 in Linn County
*24 in Benton County
*23 in Josephine County
*20 in Polk County
*16 in Umatilla County
*13 in Yamhill County
*10 in Grant County
*7 each in Douglas, Clatsop and Columbia counties
*6 in Baker County
*5 each in Curry, Hood River and Tillamook counties
*4 in Crook County
*3 each in Jefferson, Lake, Malheur and Wasco counties
*2 each in Coos and Harney counties
*1 in Wallowa County
The news deaths ranged in age from 42 to 90. 2 each lived in Jackson and Multnomah counties. 1 each lived in Douglas and Benton counties.
OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 272, which is 17 more than on Tuesday. There are 65 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 7 more than on Tuesday.
OHA reported that 39,882 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 26,407 doses were administered on Tuesday. 13,475 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Tuesday.
